Information Service is a low power
radio broadcast service. SPWIS rebroadcasts NOAA
weather reports to the communities of Scotch Plains and
nearby Clark, Westfield, Colonia and Edison at 1630 kHz
on your AM radio dial, so that you don't need a special
weather band receiver to get the latest and most accurate
weather forecasts and severe weather warnings, 24 hours a
day. If you live in or are passing
through these areas, simply tune your radio to 1630 AM to
hear the broadcasts. Please note: reception is best
(largest area) with a car radio. For
